Together with Music Link Co-Ordinators (TwM Connector)

Together with Music will strengthen and build upon links between education, health and community organisations using music as the vehicle into connection.


The role of Together with Music connector is paramount in the success of this campaign. The post holder will have particular responsibility for leading the programme to connect schools, youth organisations and faith groups with their local care homes across all neighbourhoods in England. The TwM connectors will ensure that groups are linked smoothly and will offer ongoing support as well as embedding best practice, training and guidance for both groups.


This is a creative, person-facing role that will develop and embed school’s community engagement and young people’s active citizenship and social action and their social skills and leadership, as well as make a real difference to older people in care homes.

Job Description


Aim:

To embed active intergenerational citizenship and social action.


Candidates must be:


- Responsive

- Engaging

- Strong communication skills
- Available


Job role will include:


- Managing the back office website and it’s members.
- Point of contact for regional members and perspective members. - Approval of site content.
- Ongoing support and mentorship.
- Promoting and engaging groups on the ground.

Experience needed:


- Experience running back office website
- Experience liaising with community groups, education and care sector

- Working on local and national level.
- Experience working intergenerationally
- Client facing role
- Music and art experience (preferred)


3-month post to start in January 2021 with initial paid training in December 2020.

​

Home based working initially, until restrictions advise otherwise.


Part-time position (20 hours per week) £15 per hour


We will offer initial full training and ongoing support throughout the projects you do. There will also be options for continuing professional and personal development through external training and workshops. We are looking for those who have experience in working community settings, schools and care homes and have a passion for the arts within the health and education sector.
